At The Fathers’ Rights Movement, our mission is to bring greater awareness to the injustices that many families face within the Family Court system, to empower these families to stand up for their rights, and to educate the public about the importance of fathers in society. We are excited to welcome our new and returning board directors, who will help steer our organization in the direction needed to fulfill our mission.
Mark Jaycox, who has previously served as the Vice President, will now serve as the President of the Board. Mark has been involved with TFRM since 2013 and was one of the original Co-Founders. In 2003, he was unfortunately introduced to the harsh reality of the family law system after the dissolution of a 20 plus year marriage and 4 sons. Mark has remained a dedicated advocate for Shared Parenting throughout the many years and many roles he has held within the community.
Walter Richardson, who has been involved with TFRM since shortly after going through his bout with the Family Court system when his daughter was born in May 2017, will continue serving as Vice President. Through working with TFRM, he spent much of his time learning about the psychological effects of alienation, while taking phone calls from other fathers in Tennessee and all over the country. He also began networking with legislators in his home state of Tennessee, and subsequently submitted a joint custody bill in 2019, that passed the TN Senate unanimously.
Samantha Dickerson will serve as the new Secretary of the Board. She has been involved with TFRM since May 2017 and has held numerous roles across the organization throughout her tenure. She is a loving mother and stepmother, who first became aware of the many issues in the family court system upon becoming a stepmother. Throughout her work with TFRM, Samantha came to realize that she also endured these same injustices, as a child of a split home and victim of parental alienation herself. Because of this, Samantha is now tenacious in her advocacy for Family Law Reform, so that her children may never have to endure the inequalities in the family court system.
Linda Mohr, has held multiple Board roles such as Vice President, Secretary, and Board Director, will be returning as a Board member. She has been involved with TFRM for many years and was recruited by Mark Jaycox shortly after the inception of the organization. Linda vehemently wants to see change within the family court system, not only for her children and grandchildren, but for families across the country.
Coming to the Board as a new Member, is Glenn Shepherd, who has been a volunteer with the organization since 2017. He has been estranged from his child since 2015 due to his own unjust battle in the Family Law system. Glenn has assisted TFRM as the Director if IT, using his 25 years of professional IT experience. He is passionate about contributing to more positive outcomes for Equal Shared Parenting.
Lastly, both Thomas Fidler and David Pisarra will serve as Honorary Board Members. Thomas, the Creator and Founder of TFRM, will move to an Honorary Role within the Board, and will advise the Board with his experience within the Family Law system, as well as with the history of the organization. David has assisted TFRM previously in various endeavors and will continue to do so in an Honorary Role as well.
With these new, returning, and transitioning roles on the Board, we hope to have a prosperous year, and many more to come in our journey to achieve the organization’s mission!
